Coronation Street fans disapprove of Ali’s new hairstyle

Does it look 'weird'?

Dr Ali Neeson has risked the wrath of Coronation Street viewers after experimenting with a new hairstyle.

And Ali only needs to ask fellow Weatherfield resident Adam Barlow about how that can go very wrong if the new ‘do is deemed unattractive!

On Thursday (October 31), Dr Ali – played by James Burrows – attracted attention for all the wrong reasons when he displayed a new hairstyle while chatting to Toyah Battersby at Roy’s Rolls.

Instead of his usual shorter style, Michelle’s son looked like he was growing a curtain-style look, made famous by 90s indie bands Stone Roses and Inspiral Carpets.

But fans didn’t approve of his longer hair…

One tweeted: “Ali’s hair looks weird.”

Another commented: “What is Ali doing with his hair? #Corrie.”

A third asked: “Why has Ali got some dodgy 70s hairstyle? At Maria’s hands?”

What is Ali doing with his hair?

“Never mind his weird hair, I’m just happy Ali got over his drug addiction so quickly,” laughed one more, while another added: “Ali needs to fix his hair.”

Others said it was “dreadful”.

In upcoming scenes, Ali might have more to worry about than his hair however.

There are tough times ahead for former couple Maria and Ali when Gary threatens to destroy their relationship, as well as that of Adam Barlow and Sarah Platt.

As well as getting revenge on ex-Sarah and her new beau Adam, Gary also appears to set his sights romantically on hairdresser Maria, who recently split from Doctor Ali.

And what Gary wants, Gary gets… Whatever the cost!
