The Duke of Cambridge has said Princess Charlotte will be “obsessed” with a pretty pink satchel gifted during a recent visit to Liverpool.

The 36-year-old revealed little Charlotte, three, loves everything pink and will be thrilled about the gift from The Leather Satchel Company.

William was presented with three personalised satchels for his children during an official visit to Liverpool this week.

The little satchels – called the Mini Windsor Backpack line – were each embossed with the royal children’s names.

There was pink for Princess Charlotte, black and red for Prince George, four, and traditional tan for two-month-old Prince Louis.

George’s backpack matches his school uniform colours – clever!

They retail for £130 to £150.

When William saw the satchels, he remarked: “These are very smart satchels, beautifully made. Very cool! Charlotte will be obsessed with that, she’s obsessed by pink, so seriously I won’t get that off her again, which is brilliant!

“George’s is very smart – he will love that. That is really kind of you, thank you very much.”
