Princess Charlotte new title

The Mirror reports that even though the young Princess has been raised to have as normal life as possible, it’s likely she ‘will have to take on her royal duties full time’.

The Princess, who is fourth in line to the throne, is expected to take on the extra duties after she finishes her studies.

She could even be named Princess Royal.

The royal duties could include charity work and other appointments, in line with her mother and father, who are often seen visiting good causes.

The Duchess’s patronages include Action For Children and Action On Addiction.

She’s also patronage for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

In addition, the royal couple heads up their own foundation, The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, set up in 2009.

A special royal message

Away from their charity work, the pair sent the current Princess Royal – Anne – a special message on her 70th birthday.

The couple took to its official Instagram account to share two images that showed the Princess with both William – her nephew – and Kate.

“Wishing a very happy 70th birthday to Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal!” the caption to the images said.
