Prince George and Princess Charlotte have returned to school and the royal siblings have been allowed to break a key school rule.
And, it appears, some exceptions have been made to ensure the future king and his little sister remain safe.
Which rule have George and Charlotte broken?
As well as the classroom looking different for the pair, pick-up and drop-off arrangements have also changed.
Although this isn’t the case for the royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been allowed to drive into the school gates as usual to drop off their children.
However, other parents of children at the school have to drop their little ones off outside the gates.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair about the school rule break.
She said: “According to one parent, the school has installed numerous COVID-prevention measures and parents now have to drop children at the school gates. The Cambridges, however, are still able to drive their children into the school grounds.”
How are they getting on now they’re back in class?
Katie also revealed how the royal siblings are getting on back at school.
She said: “While Kensington Palace did not release any images of the children’s first day back, George – who has moved into Year 3 – and Charlotte, who is in Year 1, are said to be thrilled to be back at school with their friends, even though some activities such as swimming have been suspended.”
William on home schooling
The Duke of Cambridge had previously revealed he was happy that George and Charlotte had headed back to school.
During a recent royal engagement, he said: “I think every parent is breathing a sigh of relief that school has started again.”

William and Kate had been homeschooling their eldest children when schools shut during lockdown.
The prince quipped: “Five months – it’s been wonderful, but it’s been a long five months.”
As well as George, seven, and Charlotte, five, William and Kate are also parents to two-year-old Prince Louis.
