Meghan, Duchess of Sussex ‘admits she misses TV show Suits’

She quit acting after her engagement to Prince Harry

The Duchess of Sussex says she misses her hit US series Suits.

Meghan made the comment as she spoke to members of the public after visiting the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin.

In her last appearance on the legal drama back in April, her character, Rachel Zane, marries onscreen love interest Mike Ross, before leaving New York for new jobs in Seattle.

Meghan quit the show and acting following her engagement to Prince Harry, but remains close to her leading Suits co-stars, who all attended the royal wedding in May.

In a nod to her own wedding to Harry, a band outside the museum played Stand By Me – which was sung at the royal wedding – as the newlyweds spoke to the public.

Fiona Moore from Dublin described the Duchess as “relaxed”.

“I’m a fan of Suits and I said to her that I miss it and she said ‘so do I’,” she said. “She seemed very relaxed and was joking and laughing.”

Caroline Bates said: “Meghan really took her time and looked us in the eye, she was really nice. She’s a breath of fresh air in the royal family.”

Heather Nicell also from Dublin said: “Meghan is a great role model for women, she is very likeable and relatable.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Dublin on Tuesday night for a whirlwind visit at the request of the British government.

It marks their first overseas visit as a married couple.

Their jam-packed itinerary included meetings with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Irish President Michael D. Higgins, where they cuddled up to his two beautiful Bernese Mountain dogs.

There were also visits to the Book of Kells at Trinity College Dublin and the Famine Memorial, as well as DogPatch Labs, a working space for tech start-ups.

They also toured Croke Park, the home of the Gaelic Athletic Association, and enjoyed a garden party at the British Ambassador’s official residence.

It’s been a busy week for the couple so far, starting with an appearance at the christening of Prince Louis at The Chapel Royal, St James’ Palace on Monday.

On Tuesday, they joined The Queen and other senior royals for a day of celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.

There was a service at Westminster Abbey followed by a ceremony in the Buckingham Palace forecourt where The Queen gave a speech and presented a new Queen’s Colour to the RAF.

Meghan also enjoyed her second ever Buckingham Palace balcony appearance as the royals watched a fly-past involving around 100 aircraft.
