Harry and Meghan ‘to buy home in LA to be closer to her mum Doria’

Doria often travels to the UK to see her daughter and grandson Archie

| Updated:

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could buy a home in Los Angeles to be closer to Meghan‘s mum Doria Ragland, according to a royal expert.

Meghan and her mum share a very close bond, however, Doria lives in Los Angeles but often travels to the UK to see Meghan and her son Archie.

Now, royal expert Emily Andrews has suggested that Meghan and Harry could seek to buy a home in the states so Doria can spend more time with them and Archie.

Earlier this year, Harry announced that he and Meghan are launching their personal charity organisation and will be working on a mental health series with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to Yahoo’s The Royal Box, Emily said: “This project with Oprah, whilst it’s not going to be the first initiative of Sussex Royal, is a big push they are doing in the America market to try and attract donors for their new foundation.

“I think they’ll probably buy somewhere in America – of course, Doria lives in LA.

“We know Doria and Meghan are very close, Doria has been a very special and intrinsic part of Archie’s life and it would make sense if they bought someplace out in LA. Somewhere where they could go for holidays, school holidays and Doria could stay, too.”

Doria travelled to the UK back in May when Meghan gave birth to her first child, son Archie.

Days after Archie’s birth, Doria was pictured with the tot alongside Meghan, Harry, the Queen and Prince Philip.

It’s believed she travelled back to the UK earlier this month for Archie’s christening.

It seems Meghan and Harry are adjusting to life as new parents but bookies are already predicting another royal baby will be arriving next year.

Earlier this month, Ladbrokes dramatically slashed the odds on the couple making a pregnancy announcement THIS YEAR.

The likelihood of it happening was originally 8/1, but it’s now just 3/1.

A Ladbrokes spokesman told Express.co.uk: “Harry and Meghan clearly aren’t messing around, and if the latest odds are anything to go by, the pair could be adding to their family next year.”
