Carol Vorderman was inundated with compliments from fans today as she posted several snaps on Twitter from her day out at Trooping the Colour 2018.

The 57-year-old was lucky enough to attend the annual celebration for the Queen, and couldn’t resist sharing the experience with her 388,000 followers.

Carol may not have been on the Buckingham Palace balcony with Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, but she did have a fantastic view of the parade – judging by her Twitter pics.

But it was more her appearance that fans were impressed with as they rushed to comment on Carol’s outfit.

The former Loose Women host wore a figure-hugging black dress which featured cut-out detailing on the shoulders.

She captioned one snap: “Thank you for an amazing morning David #SecStateScotland #TroopingtheColour….it was an honour and privilege to be invited.” Another picture saw posing for a selfie with Scottish mezzo-soprano Yvie Burnett.

This time Carol had removed her sunnies, but kept her hat firmly in place as she grinned and captioned the picture: “With my beautiful sis ⁦@yvieburnett⁩ at Dover House #TroopingOfTheColour.”

“You are both absolutely stunning. I hope you two ladies have a wonderful weekend,” one follower commented, while another added: “Well carol you’re looking great …as usual …have a great day.”

A third user wrote: “You have fabulous genes,” while another said: “Looking nice and cool carol!!”

Two other ladies who turned heads at the Queen’s official birthday today was the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan, 36, broke with royal protocol by choosing a bespoke off-the-shoulder dress by Carolina Herrera, evoking memories of her wedding to Prince Harry three weeks ago.

Meanwhile, mother-of-three Kate chose a pale blue Alexander McQueen dress topped which she paired with a Juliette Botterill hat.

No doubt, Carol had a great view of the royals as they stepped out onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace to enjoy a flypast by historic and modern RAF aircraft, including the legendary Red Arrows who blazed a trail with plumes of red, white and blue.
