Meghan Markle has revealed that her “something blue” when she married Prince Harry was a tiny piece of fabric from the dress she wore on their first date.
The Duchess of Sussex sewed a piece of the garment into her wedding dress for the big day.
She shares the romantic detail in a new two-part documentary about the royal family, Queen of the World, which starts on Tuesday.
ITV shared a clip from the programme of Meghan seeing her wedding dress for the first time since she and Harry tied the knot.

Meghan looks overjoyed to see the Givenchy wedding gown again and says: “Somewhere in here, there’s a piece… Did you see it? The piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside?”
The 37-year-old duchess then reveals she is referring to the wedding day tradition of “something blue”.
She adds: “It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date.”
A conservator from the Royal Collection replies: “That’s about the most romantic thing I’ve ever heard.”
ITV’s landmark documentary explores the Queen’s role on the global stage and the baton she is passing to the younger members of the royal family.
It was filmed over more than a year and features behind-the-scenes moments with The Queen, her family, staff and residences.
Meghan reveals that she only saw the veil, which is embroidered with flowers from all 53 Commonwealth countries, for the first time on the morning of the wedding.
She married Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May.
Queen of the World is on ITV at 9.15pm on Tuesday.
