Love Island's Jessica Hayes expecting first child

Love Island star Jessica Hayes has announced she is expecting a child.

The former winner of the show has revealed she is pregnant with her and her fiancé Dan Lawry's first baby, which is due in July.

Sharing the happy news on Instagram on Sunday, she shared a snap of her and Dan kissing alongside a heartfelt caption.

It definitely was a surprise and wow what a blessing this is.

She wrote on Instagram: "Baby Lawry arriving 9th July 2019... So relieved I can finally reveal this news, it's been super hard to hide for months I've been a bit quiet dealing with sickness, tiredness, bad skin you know the rest... but the belly is growing and it's pretty much impossible to hide now.

"It definitely was a surprise and wow what a blessing this is, I cannot wait to meet this special little human, you are going to be so loved! Feeling so grateful and excited to start this new journey and fall in love forever. We already love you so much ... (sic)."

Fans rushed to congratulate the couple with one person writing: "Congrats so happy for you."

Another said: "Amazing news congratulations!" while a third added: "Omg... amazing!!!! So happy for you both."

Jessica got engaged to Dan back in August after a whirlwind six month romance and she admitted at the time that it didn't "feel real" to be marrying the man of her dreams.

She added: "He's only gone and put a ring on it... What an emotional 24 hours I'm smiling so much my face actually hurts!

"My best friend has made me his fiancé in the best way ever ..After knowing each other a long time the fact we finally made our way back to each other, I know everything was meant to be and I'm the happiest girl on earth right now. I can't stop looking and smiling it still doesn't feel real! I can't wait to be Mrs Lawry. Our story will always be my favourite love story celebrations at @lepetitsud. (sic)"

Jessica won Love Island back in 2015 alongside her cricketer ex Max Morley. The couple parted just a month after the final aired.
