Love Island’s Chris and Harley are the ‘first couple to split’ just two weeks after the series ends

Sources say they'll stay friends!

Just two weeks after the ITV2 show ended, the Love Island villa has reportedly claimed its first casualty.

Chris Taylor and Harley Brash are said to be the first couple to have split, with sources revealing that they will “stay friends”.

The pair hooked up towards the end of the show and enjoyed a bread-making date.

They had hoped to continue their love affair in the outside world, but sadly it seems as if it just wasn’t meant to be.

A source told The Sun: “Harley and Chris broke up a couple of days ago, it was really amicable and they both agreed they’ll stay friends. Sadly there’s no romance there – it was just a holiday fling.”

However, the pair haven’t officially confirmed their split, with sources saying they don’t want to ruin potentially lucrative deals they have lined up.

They apparently filmed an episode of Supermarket Sweep, with new host Rylan Clark-Neal this week – and kept their split secret.

Sources backstage revealed the former couple barely spoke to each other during filming.

Chris was later seen getting close to Casa Amor reject Maria Wild at the show’s wrap party.

He has since enjoyed a boys’ holiday to Ibiza with his villa mate Jordan Hames.

The source said: “Nobody wants to be the first couple to split up – it’s embarrassing and there’s so much pressure to stay together to make money.”

They added: “It’s all over but they don’t really want fans to know that – they’d rather someone else split up first!”

The paper reports that the pair have even gone so far as to share throwback pictures of each other to Instagram to “throw fans off the scent”.
