Love Island viewers have criticised Joe for being “possessive” with Lucie after just a day in the villa.
During last night’s episode, surfer Lucie was left in tears after having both Joe and boxer Tommy vying for her attention.
Joe, 22, sparked concern among viewers after having a meltdown over Tommy stealing Lucie from him.

After Tommy chose Lucie to couple up with, Joe struggled to keep it together and was on the verge of tears.
Taking Lucie aside for a chat, Joe said: “This is a really weird situation and I don’t like it. I thought I could trust you but now I don’t think I can.”
Lucie was stunned and pointed out that they had only been in the villa for “two and a bit days”.
Viewers were divided over the situation, with many people slamming Joe for being so upset over Lucie after just 24 hours.
One person said: “Joe’s behaviour is cause for alarm it’s very possessive & manipulative. If Lucie is wise, she’ll see these signs & leave it with him. Let’s hope this puts other ladies off him too!

Last night, Lucie was overcome with emotion as she struggled to choose between Joe and Tommy.
The 21-year-old beauty had originally paired up with Joe, but newcomer Tommy – who is the younger brother of Tyson Fury – stole her away in a shock re-coupling on Tuesday night.
Tommy told Lucie: “I think you’re too nice of a person to upset anybody. You don’t want to upset me and don’t want to upset Joe.”
Lucie confided in her fellow islanders as she admitted she doesn’t know who to go with, and was later seen bursting into tears while talking to Curtis Pritchard about the situation.
She said: “I know, it’s just I’ve been talking about it all day. It’s because like, everyone’s being so nice and I’m like ‘Oh god’. I haven’t even had a chance to like, talk to everyone.”

Curtis – who is the brother of Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard – told her: “Don’t get upset. You just need to think about you. Honestly, don’t get upset.
“Well maybe you do, maybe you just need to cry and let it out, that’s not a bad thing at all.”
