Love Island viewers fuming over Joanna ‘grabbing’ Michael’s face after being voted out

It was an explosive exit!

Love Island viewers were left fuming when Joanna Chimonides grabbed Michael Griffiths’ face during last night’s show.

On Tuesday’s episode, Joanna was booted out of the villa after a huge twist meant either Michael or Joanna had to leave.

However, when the islanders voted to save Michael, Joanna was forced to leave and she had a final message for him.

It seems Joanna expected Michael to leave with her, but he remained quiet.

Joanna blanked him at first before she grabbed his face and insisted he leave too.

She told him: “If you’ve found what you want then you better leave mate. But you clearly aren’t so you’re a [expletive] snake.”

After host Caroline Flack read out the result, Michael said: “I feel like I came here and I found what I wanted and now she’s leaving.”

As she said her goodbyes to the islanders, Michael attempted to call Joanna for a chat but she wasn’t interested.

He later told her: “Nobody said I wasn’t leaving. What have I got to stay for? I’ve got nothing here.”

Joanna fumed: “Stay here, it’s fine. Stay look, you could have something with her, seriously,” seemingly referring to Amber.

Michael said: “Don’t be stupid.”

Viewers weren’t happy with Joanna’s behaviour and slammed her for “grabbing” Michael’s face.

One person said: “Nah Joanna grabbing Michael’s face like that just aint right. Am I the only one who see’s that she’s toxic and manipulative??”

Another wrote: “Say what you like about Michael, but Joanna grabbing his face like that is not OK #loveisland.”

A third tweeted: “Imagine Michael had grabbed Joanna’s face like that… No wonder he’s stayed in the villa.”

As she left the villa, Joanna said: “Part of me hoped he would be like, ‘yep I’m coming home with you tonight’. I would have made me feel a lot better.

“I did think there was a future for me and Michael. If he does come out, then absolutely, we’ll work on it and hope for a future.”
