Popular reality star's body reportedly found in woods

Dreadful news coming through that reality star Mike Thalassitis has been found dead.

The Love Island star’s body was reportedly found in woods near his Essex home.

Mike, who was just 26, appeared on the 2017 version of the ITV2 dating show.

He subsequently appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating.

Away from dating shows, Mike had a high-profile romance with Megan McKenna, but the couple split last year.

Mike was a semi-professional footballer and one of his old teams, Chelmsford City FC, has paid tribute to the sportsman.

They wrote on their official page: “The Club are saddened to hear the news of the passing of former #Clarets striker Mike Thalassitis. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends at this time. #ClaretTogether (sic)”

It’s understood he was due to be opening his own restaurant in Essex next week.

Tributes have already begun to pour in, with Love Island stars upset that outlets are disrespectfully using his nickname from the show in headlines…

Olivia Bowen Buckland was one of the first to comment, writing: “This is horrendous. I’m in shock. Mike you are going to be sorely sorely missed. My heart is with your family. I’m in complete shock.”

Chris Hughes, who appeared on the same run of the show, wrote: “Every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends. A good guy, taken far, far to soon.”
