Georgia May Foote addresses Chris Hughes rumours

She was questioned on The Chris Ramsey Show

Former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote has addressed recent rumours she’s been on dates with Love Island’s Chris Hughes.

After Chris revealed to The Sun that he and Georgia had “been on a few dates”, the ex soap star was keen to clear everything up when she appeared on The Chris Ramsey Show on Comedy Central.

“Nothing at all [is going on], no,” she said, squirming awkwardly and jokingly telling the chat show host, “I hate you”, before further explaining the rumours.

“Dating is when you go into a relationship, and I don’t want a relationship right now,” she said.

Chris [Ramsey], who suggested that Georgia “can’t wait for the new series of Love Island to start”  then went on to wind the Strictly Come Dancing star up even further, probing, “But he’s a nice guy?”

“He’s alright… he’s just alright” Georgia added, looking a tad awkward about the line of questioning.

Eventually managing to divert the line of questioning, Georgia decided to talk about someone else’s love life instead – the dating show’s host, Caroline Flack.

“I can’t wait for Love Island to start, because Caroline Flack is great, and she’s just got engaged, and I’m really happy for her!” Georgia laughed.

Chris, who split with his Love Island co-star Olivia Attwood in March, had previously revealed that Georgia had visited his family home to “meet the horses and the cows”.

“She’s an absolutely stunning girl. She is a beautiful girl inside and out. She’s one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met,” he gushed to The Sun just a week ago.

“Obviously she lives up North and I live down South, so although you might not think it is, that is a difficult situation.”

Chris later backtracked on his comments, after Georgia took to Twitter to have a rant over the rumours.

“I am not dating anyone. At all. Nobody has ‘met my parents’ and I am well and truly single…I didn’t choose or want to be in the position I am in, so I’m not going to look for something else,” she wrote.
