Love Island’s Amy Hart to undergo £100,000 worth of dental treatment

Procedures on her teeth will take six months to complete

Former Love Island contestant Amy Hart is having a £100,000 dental makeover.

The 27-year-old has been the victim of cruel taunts about her teeth after finding reality TV fame on the ITV2 in the summer – and is now taking decisive action.

She told MailOnline: “I’m starting a full teeth makeover next week costing £100k. I’ll be having some of the work done at the same time as filming Celebs Go Dating.

“They said they could do it in two weeks and it would be good or it will take six months and it will be perfect so I’ve decided to do that.

“I will be having braces to move my teeth back, I will then be having bone grafts in my gums to put implants in. Then the rest of my mouth will be crowns and veneers.”

Amy added she has wanted to undergo the procedures for a while – and wants them “done” thoroughly after previously having work on them when she was a teenager.

She has previously hit back at cruel online trolls who have mocked her appearance.

Amy posted a plea on Instagram in October asking social media users criticising her looks to stop and admitted abusive messages about her teeth can be very hurtful.

To everyone who has taken time out of their day to point out my flaws – thank you. I know you probably think that the comments you make about my appearance don’t get read, well they do – and they hurt. Not just me, but my friends and family, too. I’ve seen so many comments telling me to get my teeth fixed, and they’ve been heard. Loud and clear. I’ve actually been unhappy with them for years, but I haven’t really been in a position to get them sorted out. I know it’s probably difficult to see me as a person when all you know about me is what you’ve seen on TV, online and when I pop up on your social media feed. To you, I’m probably just a picture or a video… but the reality is I’m just an ordinary girl from Worthing whose dreams are coming true. The vast majority of comments I receive are absolutely lovely – and I read them too.. so thank you! I guess what I want to say is… just have a bit consideration when you’re leaving comments on people's posts – whether they have 1 follower or 1 million followers. I have a mirror, I know what I look like – and I’m happy with it. But, like everyone, I have my insecurities. Amz xo
