Roxanne Pallett’s former Celebrity Island co-star Montana Brown has described Roxanne as a “positive” person to be around on the show.
Ex-Love Island contestant Montana spent a few days in the wilderness with Roxanne, 35, to film Bear Grylls’ Celebrity Island, which is currently airing on Channel 4.
The programme was shot before Roxanne’s recent Celebrity Big Brother controversy where she accused Ryan Thomas of punching her, before apologising and admitting she was wrong.
In a new interview with The Sun, Montana, 22, said she felt sorry for Roxanne because of the backlash she received.

“To be honest after this whole thing has blown up about Big Brother – I get that she is completely in the wrong and it’s really bad what she did – but I also don’t think it is OK for people to troll her the way that they are,” said Montana.
She said she felt “really bad” for Roxanne in the aftermath, as well as obviously feeling bad for Ryan.
Montana added: “I was really shocked by Big Brother. To be honest I did feel really bad for her, I felt really bad for Ryan as well because I know [his girlfriend] Lucy [Mecklenburgh] quite well.”
The star also described Roxanne as a “positive” person to be around on Celebrity Island, which meant when Roxanne chose to quit after one day, the other islanders really felt her absence.
Roxanne chose to leave Celebrity Island early after smoke from a camp fire triggered memories of a house fire from her childhood.
She is taking a break from showbiz right now, having stepped down from her breakfast radio show and a Christmas panto performance.
She publicly apologised to Ryan twice after leaving Celebrity Big Brother, once on a return visit to CBB and also on Jeremy Vine.
Roxanne told Emma Willis in an interview after quitting the show: “For Ryan, his family, friends, colleagues and everyone I’ve affected by such an enormous reaction that could have been devastating for him, all I can say is I’m devastated and I’m sorry.
“I need to say I got it wrong and I’m human and made a nasty, massive, horrible mistake.”
Ryan, meanwhile, told Emma in his winner’s interview that he “appreciated” Roxanne’s two television apologies.

“If this person has an issue and a misunderstanding who am I to sit here and judge? Forgiveness is a big thing and this place is a horrible place if you get it wrong and I don’t personally want to be part of that,” he added.
“So, if she wants forgiveness and it makes her feel better, then I would rather give her that because I think she’s been punished enough by the public and the people around her.”
