Ashley James reveals why she cut ties with Ginuwine after CBB flirtation

Absolutely no pony riding here!

Celebrity Big Brother feels like a lifetime ago, but simultaneously like it just finished last night.

Remember Andrew Brady and Shane J wrestling? Remember Wayne Sleep tap-dancing through the whole thing? Remember Amanda Barrie just being an all-round legend?

One thing we remember very well was the romance – or, some would call it ‘showmance’ between Made in Chelsea’s Ashley James and R&B star Ginuwine.

Cynics suggested their cuddliness in the house was nothing but a show to make them seem more appealing to viewers, thus extending their stay.

But they claimed they really did have feelings for each other, and had planned to meet up in the US once it was all over.

However, things haven’t planned out that way, in a new interview in which Ashley reveals she couldn’t trust the singer and father of five.

Ashley told The Mirror: “I know viewers become a bit cynical about showmances and think it’s just for attention so I was so adamant I wouldn’t be with anyone, but it’s so hard to run away from your heart in that house and I do wear my heart on my sleeve.

“I think I had hoped coming out that it would be something and I think I was quite open about that but now I don’t speak to him and I just think I’d rather be single and happy than be with someone I couldn’t trust.

“I don’t have harsh feelings for him but I just realised that it wasn’t going to work and that we were different people in our expectations for each other.”

Ashley also discussed how supportive Ginuwine was in the house, but stopped short of specifying exact reasons she felt she wouldn’t be able to trust him in a relationship.

And in fact, in a bid to find love, the blonde reality star has taken to using dating app Badoo to hunt down matches.

Describing being chatted up as ‘irritating’, Ashley said she preferred being able to set her own terms when it comes to making time for romance.

Ashley was evicted from the Big Brother house just before the final, alongside Maliqa Haqq.

And it seems she’s on the lookout for love, so any single men out there, get updating your online profiles and you could be in luck!
