X Factor star forced to quit show after visa is rejected

Show bosses admit there is nothing they can do

The X Factor has been shorn of one of its possible favourites after immigration officials rejected their visa application.

Filipino singer Ivy Grace Paredes has wowed the judges so far and was set to jet off to the United States to perform at Sharon Osbourne’s house.

She hit a problem though when officials wouldn’t allow her in to the country due to a past incident.

Ivy Grace has had to bid farewell to her X Factor hopes, despite being tipped to be one of Sharon’s final choices in the Overs category.

Show bosses have apparently been working frantically to resolve the issue but it seems that they have had to admit defeat in getting the application refusal reversed.

Speaking to Mirror Online, a show insider revealed: “As with all contestants travelling to the US for Judges Houses, Ivy was required to have a visa.

“Unfortunately there was an issue with her application being approved which meant that she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition.”
