Woman’s stolen purse returned 10 years later by mystery person

A stranger made the kind gesture

A woman who had her purse stolen over a decade ago has been shocked to have it returned to her.

Becca Milsom’s purse and belongings were stolen years ago when her car was broken into when she was a student at Glamorgan University.

She reported the crime to the police at the time but nothing ever came of the incident.

Now, Becca has been amazed by an unknown good Samaritan who found her old purse and managed to return it to her.

A man known only as George found Becca’s things and posted them back to her family’s home address.

Becca explained: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw them. At first I couldn’t work out where these cards were from, until I saw my old NUS card and National Insurance Card.

“The cards all seemed muddy, but they were all there, including my old cancelled bank cards and driving licence.”

The surprise delivery also came with a sweet handwritten note from the finder.

George wrote: “I hope this finds you well, I came across your wallet whilst supervising vegetation clearance on a site North of Llwyn Y Pia Road in Lisvane.

“I think your Tesco Clubcard points may have expired, along with your uni discounts, but hopefully the drivers’ licence and NI card come in handy again.”

Becca said she would now love to find George to be able to thank him personally for his kind gesture.

She added: “This makes you think there are good people in the world, I am so lucky to get them back, I’m just worried my luck is soon going to run out.

“I’d like to thank him. I’d also like to know exactly where he found it, so I can see how all my cards managed to go unfound all this time.”
