Peter Andre’s wife Emily gets involved in spat over Harper Beckham’s party at Buckingham Palace

The mum-of-two supported the Beckham's choice

David and Victoria Beckham faced a backlash over their choice to celebrate daughter Harper’s sixth birthday at Buckingham Palace earlier this month.

The youngster enjoyed a lavish birthday party inside the Palace walls with a group of her friends.

Now Peter Andre’s wife Emily MacDonagh has slammed those who criticised the couple.

Writing in her OK! Magazine column Emily slammed trolls saying “people just love to criticise the Beckhams”.

She continued: “People have said they shouldn’t have shown it off on social media as it will make other kids jealous.

“But I think that’s just life. Kids are always going to see other children doing something that they want to do.

“Having said that, I think most kids are happy with a few friends to play with and a bit of hide and seek and probably aren’t bothered about Buckingham Palace.”

She added: “People should just be happy for a little girl who obviously had a lovely time.”

Footballer David also hit back and cleared things up on his Instagram alongside a snap of him, Harper, and his mum outside the Palace.

He wrote: “One last picture of the birthday girl.

“Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party, this was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with my mum, Harper plus a few school friends. We were honoured to be able to there. Beautiful tea party.”

Harper was joined by her friends as they dressed up in their best Disney princess outfits to enjoy a tea party with Princess Eugenie earlier this month.

In a snap shared to social media all six little girls and Princess Eugenie posed for the camera.

But fashion designer Stella McCartney has hit out at the Beckham’s because one of Harper’s pals was her daughter, Reiley Willis, who she tries desperately to keep out of the public eye.

A source close to Stella has told The Sun that she is furious that David posted the picture without her consent.

“Stella is spitting feathers about it because she always tries to keep her kids out of the public eye and never posts about them on her own social media accounts,” they said.

“She is especially furious because she has an OBE and has nothing but respect for the royal family.

“She hoped no-one would notice it was Reiley and has outlined the rules to her staff.”

Stella and the Beckhams met back in 2010 and after hitting it off straight away Harper and Reiley became best friends.

Reps for Stella and the Beckhams have yet to comment on the speculation about the spat, but the photo remains on David’s Instagram and has racked up 880K likes.
