Peter Andre’s wife Emily considering HUGE career move

She has been on maternity leave following son Theo's birth

Peter Andre’s wife Emily is about to return to work following maternity leave – but already she’s thinking about her next career move.

The 27-year-old qualified doctor gave birth to her second child, son Theo, in November 2016, and will be back at work later this month.

Emily’s often shunned the limelight in favour of a quieter life away from the cameras, but it seems like we could be seeing more of her in the future.

Why, you ask?

Well, according to Emily, she quite likes the idea of one day becoming a TV doctor!

Writing in her OK! magazine column, Emily said: “Pete has said I’d be a very good TV doctor, which was kind of him.”

However, she acknowledged she wasn’t quite ready yet.

Emily said: “Right now I need to get more experience before I do something like that, but I would consider it.

“It would be completely out of my comfort zone but like I said when I went on Lorraine, you don’t achieve anything without going outside your comfort zone.”

For now, Emily said she’s just focused on getting back into the swing of things at work, having had a year away from the hospital on maternity leave.

“I can’t wait to get my teeth back into work,” she said.

Emily, who is also mum to daughter Amelia, three, has previously said she’s still mulling over what branch of medicine she wants to focus on, with psychiatry or GP being her current top two choices.

Pete, meanwhile, recently shared his pride at Emily’s return to medicine.

He told Hello! magazine: “Emily’s about to go back to work and she is really looking forward to working. Not so much looking forward to not being with the kids.

“But she’s going to be a working doctor, and I’m going to be very, very proud. I’ve promised her I’ll make her some nice home-cooked meals when she comes home after a day’s work.

“Except for the days when I’m working too, in which case, we’re not eating.”

And speaking of eating, Peter recently had fans in stitches when he turned a simple photo of Emily preparing a Sunday roast into something rather naughty.

The 44-year-old shared a snap to Instagram over the weekend showing Em hard at work in the kitchen.

But he couldn’t resist having some fun, arranging two lemons and a cucumber to resemble something rude.

Peter joked with fans: “Emily cooking a lovely Sunday roast….. I know what you’re thinking… those lemons are far too big!”

Oh, Pete…
