George Clooney dances at royal wedding, Fergie declines his offer

He attended the nuptials with his wife Amal

| Updated:

George Clooney was apparently among the lucky guests who attended the royal wedding evening reception at Frogmore House.

And it seems the Hollywood icon, 57, enjoyed every minute of the star-studded event as he apparently twirled with bride Meghan before throwing some moves with the Duchess of Cambridge.

However, although he’s one of the world’s sexiest men, he didn’t manage to charm all the women as he was reportedly declined by Sarah Ferguson.

Multiple outlets report that Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother was in attendance at the party, despite earlier suggestions she wouldn’t be.

According to the Mirror, guests were left amused after Fergie made it clear she didn’t fancy dancing with the silver fox. Well, we’re sure, if it IS true, she had a very reasonable excuse!

Harry and Meghan – now known as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – tied the knot in St George’s Chapel at noon on Saturday.

The newlyweds were joined by 200 of their closest friends and family members at the evening reception, hosted by Prince Charles.

The Mirror claimed Meghan’s dog, Guy, was also in attendance and had guests in fits of laughter by “running around the hall lapping up spilled food”.

According to the publication, one of the guests said of the reception: “It wasn’t traditional in the slightest. They went into a bit of a jive and a lindy hop.”

Another added: “As we walked in there were ladies dressed in black, serving us fizz and Pimms, as well as canapes from the Palace staff.

“That bit was a little formal with a bit of a line-up led by Charles and Camilla, with Wills and Kate to one side and Harry and Meghan in the middle of it all.”

Apparently, the newlyweds chose Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody for their first dance.

Meanwhile, Meghan, Harry, Prince Charles and Prince William reportedly all gave speeches at the reception.

According to The Sun, Meghan thanked the royal family for welcoming her in.

Meghan also reportedly spoke about her “special bond” with Prince Charles, who walked her down the aisle.

Apparently, Harry’s speech was described as “off-the-cuff” as he jokingly warned their American guests not to “pinch any of the swords” hanging up in Windsor Castle.

A guest at the wedding told the Mail on Sunday Charles’ words were moving and heartfelt, with jokes about his “darling old Harry” as a baby “about as embarrassing as it got”.

Finally, William’s speech was reportedly the “naughtiest” of the day but also packed an emotional punch.
