Wayne Rooney reportedly ARRESTED near his home in Cheshire

The footballer was reportedly pulled over on Thursday night

Wayne Rooney has reportedly been arrested for drink driving, after a night out at a bar near his home in Cheshire.

It’s believed that he was out at The Bubble Room in footballer territory Alderley Edge, which is near his house in Prestbury.

Shropshire cricketer Jack McIver posted a picture of himself with Wayne at the bar at 10pm on Instagram although that has since been taken down.

Rooney was arrested on his way home from the night out by Cheshire Police, though there has been no comment on details.

Meanwhile wife Coleen is thought to still be in Majorca on holiday with their three kids, Kai, seven, Klay, four and one year-old Kit.

Coleen has also recently announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child so we imagine that phone conversation went really well.

Coleen recently spoke out about people assuming that she wants a girl after having three boys.

“I’m not desperate for a girl,” she told Closer magazine. “I’ve got two brothers and Wayne grew up with two brothers, so we’re from a family of boys.

“A girl would be nice, but you can’t pick and choose what you want.

“I’d be happy with another boy to join the madness of our house.”

Wayne, 31, retired from international football last week and was praised by major names in the game for the success of his career.

He still plays club football for Everton and was on the pitch for their 2-0 defeat on Sunday against Chelsea.

He travels to the training ground from the home the family have owned in Cheshire for 12 years but they have recently been rumoured to be moving to a £10 million purpose-built mansion in the Cheshire countryside.
