Ex-call girl Helen Wood apologises to Coleen Rooney over Wayne ‘threesome’ scandal

She expresses regret over reported romp

A former call girl who claims she had a threesome with Wayne Rooney and another escort has issued an apology to Wayne’s wife Coleen.

Helen Wood, 32, was named by tabloid newspapers in 2010 as one of two women who’d had a night of passion with the then-England footballer.

The Celebrity Big Brother star has now elaborated on what allegedly happened in a new book, Helen Wood: A Man’s World.

And, in an interview published today, Helen  has shown remorse for her actions, saying that Coleen, 33, “didn’t deserve” to be put through so much pain.

The sex romp reportedly took place in the summer of 2009 – while Coleen was pregnant with her and Wayne’s first son Kai.

It’s been claimed that Wayne, now 33, paid Helen and her friend Jenny Thompson £1,000 for their services.

Helen has since insisted that she only went public about what happened after Thompson told her story to the tabloids in 2010.

And in an interview with the Mirror Online, she expressed her regret at making life hard for Coleen – now a mum-of-four.

The mum-of one said: “I am sorry to Coleen, she didn’t deserve anything.

“I used to say: ‘If she wants to stick with [Wayne], that’s her own fault.’

“Now I’m a bit older, I’m like: ‘She’s just a mum who wants to be with her family, leave the girl alone.'”

If Coleen’s recent social-media activity is anything to go by, she and Wayne appear to be putting past troubles behind them.

Alongside a black-and-white picture of the couple smiling together, she wrote: “11 years married!! Happy anniversary @waynerooney. It’s been a journey…

“Ups and downs, highs and lows… but you know what… I love you x.”

Let’s just hope that Helen Wood’s latest comments don’t open up old wounds…
