Viewers melt as contestant’s dog makes unexpected appearance on The Voice

But will we see him again?

The Voice may have just had its cutest contestant yet – as an adorable pug took to the stage in last night’s episode.

But there’s no telling if we’ll see him on again any time soon – as the pooch comes as a sidekick.

The adorable dog, Leo, was brought out on stage immediately after his owner, Marina Simioni had successfully sung her way into the competition.

Marina belted out Show Me Love by Robin S showing off her smooth, sultry voice – before taking the judges completely by surprise.

She rose up into an operatic falsetto, leaving judge Olly Murs stunned – but that wasn’t the only trick she had up her sleeve.

She went on to drop in some beat boxing, before showing off more of her impressive range as she finished off the song.

And she finished off well – with Sir Tom Jones’ slamming down his “I want you” button, making Marina the final member of his team.

The judges then turned around to rave about her performance, confirming that her place in the show was well deserved.

“That was such a mad audition but I loved it,” said Olly.

“That was really good, and the falsetto was really strong,” said Tom, “but I loved your normal voice before you went into the falsetto, that clinched it for me.”

And to celebrate her success, Leo the pug – who’d been watching the whole thing from backstage – came out to give a performance of his own, howling into the microphone.

Marina – and perhaps Leo – will progress into the battle stage of the competition.
