Viewers kick off as Lorraine is cancelled

Without any warning, bosses chose to scrap the daytime show

Lorraine fans have had the worst day EVER as their favourite show was cancelled for Good Morning Britain.

Oh, and it gets worse.

They didn’t even give any warning, they made the decision last minute – absolutely shocking!

There must be a good explanation for this.

Of course there is! America have only gone and got a new President.

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid hosted the ITV breakfast show live from Times Square, New York, as Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.

Due to the extended coverage, it meant no daily dose of Lorraine Kelly.

The news was announced on the official Lorraine Twitter account in a statement which read: “Due to ITV’s coverage of the US election, Lorraine will return tomorrow at 8.30am. Follow @GMB for the latest updates on #ElectionNight.”

Viewers were left devastated after the unexpected news and took to Twitter to express their feelings.

One person wrote: “@ITVLorraine @GMB what a shame we desperately need some light relief.”

Another added: “@ITVLorraine @GMB Oh please come back sooner @piersmorgan crowing & usual dreadful style of ‘interviewing’ i.e. Just using it as PiersPlatform so awful.”

This isn’t the first time one of our favourite daytime shows was cancelled.

Back in June, This Morning AND Loose Women were scrapped when David Cameron stepped down as Prime Minister following the Brexit referendum result.

Viewers were left equally heartbroken at the decision.

Lorraine continues tomorrow at 8:30 am on ITV.

Thank God for that!
