Britain is expected to bask in 26C this weekend as the country is set to be hotter than Madrid.
A Spanish plume is apparently set to sweep across the UK, making temperatures soar on Friday (September 20) and Saturday (September 21).
It’s been said that highs of 26C could reach some parts of southern and eastern England on Saturday.

The north of the country are expected to see highs of around 21 and 22C.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, the Met Office said: “It looks set to get warmer as we head into the weekend.
“With high pressure in control we should see plenty of sunshine and some of the highest temperatures in the south on Saturday as southeasterly winds push warm air up from the near continent.”
Met Office meterologist Simon Partridge told The Sun Online: “On Friday and Saturday we can expect to see warm, dry and sunny weather across much of the UK.”
It’s been said that parts of the UK will be warmer than Madrid, which will experience lows of 20C and highs of 23C on Saturday.
However, weather conditions on Sunday (September 22) won’t be as settled.
The Met Office website says: “After a mostly fine start to the weekend, unsettled weather in the west will probably spread to eastwards to affect most areas on Sunday, with outbreaks of rain, which may be heavy at times.
“With this, winds will strengthen too with the risk of gales in the west and north and it will feel cooler here too.
“Thereafter, as we look ahead into the final week of September changeable weather is likely to dominate for many, with the northwest probably seeing the strongest winds and heaviest rain.
“In contrast, southeastern areas may see longer spells of drier and brighter weather, but with the chance of some rain too, although confidence in the forecast becomes low.”

Until the weekend, the weather is set to remain sunny and warm for most.
On Thursday (September 19), it will be a chilly start but sunshine will soon spread from the south to the north, including Scotland.
It will be “largely fine and sunny” on Friday after some “early fog patches” in the morning.
