TV bosses offer ‘Marmite’ X Factor star £50k to do Dancing On Ice

After a massive flop, this reality star is hoping the ice show will boost her popularity again.

She may have been a national laughing stock on the X Factor, but for a while she was the woman everyone was talking about.

Then just weeks later, no one gave a damn, when her debut single spectacularly flopped in the charts.

Shortly afterwards, she was dropped form Syco,  branded “washed up” by fans on social media and totally forgotten about by the rest of us.

Now it looks like the rapper is hoping to revive her career by appearing on the new rebooted series of Dancing On Ice.

According to reports, producers have approached Honey and offered her £50k to slip on some ice skates.

Apparently she is on their celeb “wish list”, in spite of the fact she is now only occasionally appearing on the telly doing competitions for Loose Women.

In spite of this, a telly insider has supposedly tried to convince The Sun that Honey G is still a thing.

“Honey G was TV gold on last year’s X Factor so it’s a no-brainer to sign her up for Dancing On Ice.

“She is a huge fan favourite and is loved by the whole family, no matter what their age.

“The big question is whether she will skate in her baseball cap and sunglasses.

“Even the thought of seeing her in a different sparkly outfit each week is hilarious.”

But it turns out that the DOI producers might have to battle it out with the I’m A Celeb team who also want the novelty act on their show.

“She’s been offered a big pay packet to sign for Dancing On Ice but I’m A Celeb are also interested,” this  ITV insider has supposedly suggested.

“It seems she is leaning towards Dancing On Ice at the moment but until the contracts have been signed no one knows for certain.”

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV next January for its 10th series and ITV bosses are hoping it will be a serious contender to Strictly in the ratings.

And stars are desperate to be included on the comeback series, with Michelle Heaton and Katie Price have already having expressed an interest in taking part.

However, the judging line up is yet to be confirmed although bosses are desperately trying to persuade Jason Gardiner to reprise his role on the panel.

“The show just wouldn’t be the same without Jason so ITV are pulling out all the stops to get him back on the panel.

“Viewers absolutely loved his ruthless comments,” the source added.

“ITV have given the show a big budget to ensure that the comeback is a huge success.”
