Tragic Tara Palmer-Tomkinson left fortune to children she never managed to have

Socialite passed away earlier this year

In another tragic twist after the socialite’s death earlier this year, it’s been revealed that Tara Palmer-Tomkinson left her £2.3million fortune to children that she never had.

It’s been reported that Tara made a will in 2004, stating that her children were to inherit her estate, which The Sun reported was valued at £2.34million, when they turned 25.

Heartbreakingly, she passed away in February at the young age of 45, having never had any children.

Following a a year-long battle with a brain tumour, the It Girl and TV favourite was found dead at her London home by her cleaner.

Her family released a statement at the time saying: “We would like to thank the many people who have contacted us about Tara following her untimely death. It has been a source of great comfort to know how loved she was by so many people.

“Tara died peacefully in her sleep due to a perforated ulcer and peritonitis.”

Tara’s untimely passing away came after she had previously expressed concerns about dying following her diagnosis of a brain tumour.

She told the Daily Mail: “I went to the doctors to talk about my latest blood test results when I got back from skiing in January.

“I said: ‘What does this mean? Can you translate it?’ And the doctor said: ‘As I suspected, you have a brain tumour.’

“I got terribly frightened. I started thinking, ‘I’m going to die, I’m going to die.

“‘I’ve only got a couple of weeks to live.’ Stuff like that.”

During one of her last interviews last year she admitted regrets over the way she lived her life, saying: “I’d like to go back to that young girl and shake her. I did things I’m very ashamed of. I put my family through so much.

“I thought I’d be married and have two children by now. I imagined I’d be living in the country.”

The money will reportedly go the her brother James and sister Santa’s families.
