Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor split amidst emotional turmoil

Love's great dream could be shattered

One of TV’s greatest love affairs is over.

That may be overcooking it a little but for Celebrity Big Brother couple Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor, it seems that today has been full of emotion.

Geordie Shore star Marnie has admitted that the long distance relationship with TOWIE’s Lewis was proving harder that she thought it would.

She has now shared, and promptly deleted, a tweet to her 900,000 followers that simply read: “Real shame.”

Lewis then retorted on his own Instagram page with a post that didn’t exactly clear up any confusion about their relationship.

Alongside a photograph of the reality TV star in a purple satin bra and matching thong, he wrote: “If she’s amazing, she won’t be easy. If she’s easy, she won’t be amazing.

“If she’s worth it, you wont give up. If you give up, you’re not worthy” – Bob Marley (sic)”, alongside her name.

Marnie then posted a tweet that showed that she is not having a particularly good day.

She wrote: “Today is a very emotional day”

This seems like confirmation that all is not well in the world of Marnie and Lewis.

The couple only started dating earlier this summer and, despite declaring their love for one another inside the Big Brother house, Marnie recently admitted she’s struggling with their public relationship because there are so many rumours.

She said: “Things are still going well between me and Lewis, but I find our relationship really hard, if I’m honest.

“I want things to be as amazing as they were on CBB but I was being unrealistic because it’s so different outside.

“I want to keep things private, because I don’t want to give people a reason to talk about us.

“I already get tweets when he’s doing PAs. It’s so stressful.”

However, it’s hardly surprising the couple are finding things difficult as they’ve only just spent their first weekend alone together since they left the infamous house in August.

Marnie explained: “I’ve just got back from a romantic break in Barcelona with Lewis.

“We finally found a weekend when we could both get away, so we booked it last-minute.

“It was nice to escape and relax for a few days, just the two of us. It’s just what we needed.”

It also seemed to signal the death knell for their relationship.
