Tiger Lily Hutchence lives ‘simple life’ in Australia after missing out on father’s fortune

Some payments from INXS rocker's estate "never arrived"

Michael Hutchence would have been “heartbroken” to know his only child has not received large sums of inheritance money following his death, according to his sister.

Tina Hutchence has told the Mail On Sunday that his daughter with Paula Yates, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily (known as Tiger Lily) missed out on “big payments” on her 18th and 21st birthdays.

Tina said: “We feel swindled. The estate paid for Tiger’s school, nanny and upkeep until she turned 18, but the big payments she was supposed to receive at different stages of her life, when she turned 18 and 21, never arrived. My response to that is, ‘How dare they?'”

Tina, who is also fighting for her own share of the INXS rocker’s fortune also added that Tiger, who lives in Australia doesn’t want for material things.

She said: “‘Tiger lives a simple life and does not crave material things,

“She lives a hippy lifestyle, she is a bohemian, just like her father.”

Michael took his own life in 1997 when Tiger Lily was just 16 months old. Her broadcaster mother then died of an overdose three years later.

Tiger Lily was then raised by Bob Geldof alongside her half sisters, Fifi, Peaches and Pixie, and Tina hasn’t seen her since.

The 71-year-old retired Hollywood make-up artist said she would love for her niece to be a part of her family.

“Tiger has a ton of cousins in Australia and elsewhere who would love to meet her.

“She has a family who love her. Michael loved Australia and his family. He would be heartbroken to know what has happened. Michael loved her so much,” she said.

Tiger Lily now lives in Perth, Australia, with her boyfriend. Earlier this year, she was quoted as saying she feels “ignored” by her father’s estate.

It was expected that Tiger Lily was to inherit part of Michael’s estimated £16million fortune but was told his property portfolio wasn’t his to sell or bequeath.

The loss of her parents at a young age isn’t the only tragedy Tiger Lily has had to deal with.

In 2014, Tiger Lily’s half-sister Peaches tragically died of a heroin overdose at the age of 25.
