Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were so moved by a woman who broke down during a phone-in chat about her money struggles they decided to pay her debt off.
The presenting duo spoke to Jo on today’s phone-in segment which was on the topic of summer holidays.
In the emotional chat Jo revealed that following a break up with her long-term partner she was left in more than £1000-worth of debt.

Jo explained to the hosts: “Out of the blue just over a week ago I came home to a letter from our the people who we rent our home from to say we are in over a £1,000-worth of debt, which I never knew anything about.
“I just can’t afford the gas and electricity that’s necessary, let alone the extras that an 11-year-old girl wants.”
Phil, 55, then announced that they would help Jo by paying off her debt.
He said: “Jo? It’s our last day [before the summer holiday] and we’re in a very good mood so we’re going to sort your debt out.
“You’re not in debt any more. Have a lovely summer.”
Jo could be heard getting emotional as she thanked the stars for helping.
Viewers watching from home rushed to praise Phil and Holly, 36, for the show’s generous offer.

Today was the last show that Holly and Phil will be presenting for the summer.
The two don’t normally present the lunchtime show on Fridays but today was their last day before heading off on their annual summer break.
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will be taking over the show full time for the next several weeks.
Holly opened up the show, saying: “Phil and I aren’t usually here, but it’s our last show before the summer break.”
Fans were shocked to see Holly and Phil on their screens with one writing on Twitter: “OMG Phil and Holly are working a Friday? Shocked! #ThisMorning.”
