This Morning fans outraged as PM’s speech interrupts show

Viewers were not impressed over the sudden change

Today’s This Morning was cut short as the Prime Minister made a speech outside Downing Street.

Presenter Eamonn Holmes earlier announced that Theresa May would be making an important speech during the show, and that they would bring us all the details.

Viewers were left baffled as they speculated what the speech could be about.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: “#ThisMorning Theresa May resigning? Please let it be that!”

“Maybe she’s stepping down ? Ha ha ha ha mwhaaaaaaa #ThisMorning mwhaaaaaaa @Theresa_may,” added another.

The speech interrupted all other major TV channels such as BBC and Channel 4 as well.

The Prime Minister was then seen announcing that there will be a snap general election held on June 8th.

But This Morning fans weren’t impressed with the unexpected turn the show took as the rest of the schedule was scrapped to make way for a news special on the announcement.

One viewer wrote: “Do you really think the viewers of @thismorning want to watch this be dissected!? No! We don’t #thismorning #GeneralElection #TheresaMay.”

A confused viewer wrote: “Just a thought what’s happened why isn’t #ThisMorning on I’m confused.”
