The brothers had been separated for 60 years

Ron had been separated from his sister Christine when he was just six-years-old and she was four after their mum struggled to cope and they went to live with their grandparents.

Ron then revealed that he returned to his mum after their grandparents had passed away but Christine was adopted.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to Ron alongside Christine and their half-sister Noreen via video calls.

The presenters told Ron that his half-brother John, who lives in Australia, was unable to make an appearance via video link leaving Ron pretty upset.

But viewers and Ron were completely unaware of what was going to happen next.

Holly, 36, said: “Unfortunately Ron we did try and get John on Skype but we couldn’t get hold of him.

“That’s because he was actually on an airplane making his way here and he’s come to see you.”

As the big surprise was revealed Holly welcomed John onto the show leaving Ron breaking down in tears as he wrapped his arms around his long-lost brother.

Holly then quipped: “That’s the first time I’ve done one of those without saying ‘surprise surprise’.”

Viewers were left with tears streaming down their faces at the “beautiful moment”.

One wrote on Twitter: “Omg how beautiful. I’m in tears here. Your ruining my make up, stop it #ThisMorning.”

“Crying my eyes out at @thismorning long lost siblings suprise #thismorning,” another added.

A third said: “Balling my eyes out at the sibling reunion segment on #ThisMorning! So heart warming!”

“Sobbing my eyes out at #ThisMorning. I’m a wreck to start with when watching @longlostfamily. Happy to see the 4 of them back together,” a fourth tweeted.

Ron and Christine were reunited on Long Lost Family, which is hosted by Davina McCall, back in 2015.

And now in a brand new follow-up series Long Lost Family What Happened Next?, which airs tonight on ITV, Ron and Christine open up about the moment they were reunited with their other siblings.

You definitely won’t want to miss it.
