This Morning viewers have mixed reaction to 30th birthday opening sketch

That's one way to start a 30th birthday show!

This Morning marked its 30th birthday with a VERY surprising opening sketch featuring a slew of famous faces including Prime Minister Theresa May!

Fans were baffled when the ITV daytime show warned Phillip Schofield had gone ‘missing’ just minutes before the programme was due to air.

A video posted to social media showed Phillip’s freshly-pressed suit hanging on his dressing room door, along with an unopened pint of milk and pile of unread newspapers.

It had everyone asking: WHERE IS PHIL?!

Well, the answer became apparent when This Morning kicked off at 10.30am, as a pre-recorded sketch showed Phillip stuck in a taxi in traffic en route to the studio.

He phoned Holly to ask for help, starting a chain reaction of celebrities including Keith Lemon, Jodie Whittaker, Dermot O’Leary, Mary Nightingale and, finally, none other than Theresa May herself!

Theresa phoned Phil directly to say she’d help him get to the studio in time for This Morning’s 30th anniversary!

“It’s This Morning’s 30th birthday, you absolutely have to be there… I know just the people who can help you,” said Theresa.

She directed him to a sign for the Red Devils, who whisked Phillip into the skies in a plane, before he sky dived over London to land smack bang in the middle of the This Morning studio grounds.

Waiting for him was Holly, who simply said: “What time do you call this?”
