George died in December last year at the age of 53. His family have confirmed that his funeral took place on Wednesday.

The final of the ITV talent show will take place over two episodes this weekend, with the four finalists – Michelle John, Mo Adeniran, Into The Ark and Jamie Miller – battling for victory.

The singing hopefuls and their coaches are to perform duets, although Rossdale will be left out of these as none of his acts have made it through to the end of the series.

One act will leave the competition after the first episode, with the final three going through to Sunday’s show to perform their song of the series, after which the third-place act will be announced.

The final two acts will take to the stage one last time to win over the voting public in order to score the prize of a record deal.

Adding to the entertainment for the Voice’s series finale, singers John Legend and Pixie Lott are lined up to perform.

The Voice UK Final airs on Saturday at 8.30pm and Sunday at 7pm on ITV.
