The REAL reason Sam Faiers has not yet revealed her newborn daughter’s name

And it's not what you might be thinking...

She welcomed her second baby two weeks ago, and has so far kept mum on the little girl’s name, despite updating her loyal Instagram followers with mega-cute snaps of the newborn.

And while cynics today accused the former TOWIE star of holding out for an ‘exclusive magazine article’ reveal, Sam has posted the more simple truth alongside a new snap of the baby: she and partner Paul Knightley are still yet to decide on her name.

As more and more fans asked about the baby’s moniker after Sam posted a pic of her cradling her daughter next to a Christmas tree in the foyer of London’s swish Dorchester hotel, the mum-of-two finally replied.

Firing back robustly at a commenter who demanded ‘why all the secrecy’, Sam wrote: ‘there is no secrecy we just haven’t named her yet’.

Then followed a whole stream of helpful suggestions from Sam’s fans, with Minnie, the name of the shop Sam owns with sister Billie, cropping up time and time again.

One sage follower however, decided to offer up some words of advice rather than an actual idea:

‘Please don’t call her something silly like Apple or Cinnamon’.

Hear, hear.

Many posters also mentioned how the bubba closely resembled her big brother, ‘Baby’ Paul – with one writing ‘Wow she is the spitting image of Baby Paul’ and another chipping in with ‘she is a gorgeous little female version of her big brother’.

Aw.

Sam later returned to the thread to say she had been reading it all the way through and that all the ‘kind words’ meant so much.

“And all the name suggestions are great, too,” she added.

We can’t help wonder though,  with Sam’s toddler son being named after his dad, Paul Tony, could this new baby end up with a close-to-home choice of name? Though surely there is only room for one Samantha Elizabeth Faiers in Essex?
