The Queen’s favourite royal wife has been ‘revealed’

It's not the Duchess of Cambridge or the Duchess of Sussex

The Queen’s favourite royal wife has reportedly been revealed – and it might surprise you.

A senior royal source has claimed Sophie, Countess of Wessex is Her Majesty’s favourite, not only because the Queen enjoys her company but also because she’s “trusted and relied on”.

Former PR Sophie, 54, is also said to have endeared herself to the monarch by becoming an unofficial mentor to the Duchess of Sussex.

The insider said the pair are so close she’s like another daughter to the royal.

“She is trusted and relied on by the Queen in a way I couldn’t say applied to the Duchess of Cambridge or the Duchess of Cornwall,” they told The Sun.

They added: “And not only has Sophie flourished as a dedicated, albeit still relatively junior member of the Royal family, she has brought up two teenagers who are well-balanced, sporty, amusing and delightful.”

The Queen will usually ask Sophie to travel with her from Sandringham to St Mary Magdalene Church on a Sunday, according to aides.

It’s also been claimed Sophie and Prince Edward’s 15-year-old daughter Lady Louise is the Queen’s favourite grandchild.

Along with her brother James and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise is said to have spent 10 days at the monarch’s Scottish retreat, Balmoral, over the summer.

According to The Sun, Lady Louise and her grandmother bonded over her love of drawing and sketching, and the Queen liked that she was always keen to entertain cousins Prince George and Princess Charlotte when they were also at Balmoral.

The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild,  closely followed by James,” the source continued.

We’re sure the Queen loves them all equally!
