The Queen ‘let Kate break royal protocol during her first visit to Balmoral’

Monarch wanted Kate to "feel welcome"

Her Majesty the Queen was reportedly so keen to welcome Kate Middleton into the royal family that she apparently let her break protocol during her first visit to Balmoral.

With Meghan being accused of breaking royal protocol on a number of occasions, it seems the monarch is more than happy to relax the rules for her eldest grandson’s wife.

In a bid to make Kate feel more relaxed as she visited the royal residence before she married Prince William, Her claims that the Queen let Kate take pictures inside Balmoral – something that was previously forbidden.

Previously described as “the most beautiful place on earth” by Princess Eugenie, Balmoral is the Queen’s summer residence.
