The Queen is a huge fan of Coach Trip according to host Brendan Sheerin

Her Majesty apparently never misses an episode

A new series of Coach Trip: Road To Zante is set to kick off on E4 tonight and one person who’ll apparently be tuning in is Her Majesty The Queen!

According to show host Brendan Sheerin, Queen Elizabeth II just loves the show and never misses it.

Speaking to The Sun, he revealed: “I’ve heard the Queen has it recorded when she’s away. It makes me so proud as I love the Queen.

“I think she’s an amazing lady, especially all the good things she’s done for this country. She’s phenomenal.”

The palace were contacted by the Mirror Online, but they did not want to comment.

The series features coachloads of pairs travelling around Europe taking part in various tourist activities.

Each episode sees one couple voted off by their fellow contestants and replaced by another set of travellers.

It’s become quite the cult classic, and it appears the Queen isn’t the only famous fan – Kiera Knightly and her hubby James Knighton also regularly tune in.

“I was on Sunday Brunch with James and he said him and Kiera love it,” Brendan explained.

While most of our summers have so far been taken up with the lust-fest that is Love Island, Brendan also insisted that despite the similar sunkissed nature of his show, he didn’t allow any of those goings on on his watch!

“I don’t allow any hanky-panky in my coach as I always know what’s going on.

“But I think some of the youngsters get up to things in the evening, when I can’t keep an eye on them.”

It’s all for the better that the shenanigans don’t carry on on the coach if Her Majesty is watching!
