The I’m A Celebrity camp is at risk!

Severe weather warnings incoming...

Since we found out the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be kicking off on November 19th, we’ve been feverishly counting down the days.

However, the latest news from the camp is definitely not good – well, for the contestants anyway. It won’t affect us in our cosy front room!

It’s been reported that the I’m A Celeb camp is “at risk of a washout” after early weather warnings suggest tropical cyclones could batter the area.

The Daily Star has had reports from forecasters who are “warning Australia will be hit by a string of major storms” around when the show is due to kick off.

AccuWeather’s Jason Nicholls told the newspaper: “An early start to the season is expected with a named cyclone forming before the end of December.”

A named cyclone is definitely bad news – everyone knows the devastation which has been caused this year by storms called Harvey in the US, and Brian here in the UK.

So fingers crossed they’ve packed lots of brollies for this year! Confirmed celebs entering include Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo, The Saturdays’ Vanessa White, and Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby.

This comes after Charlotte had initially been banned from the jungle – because she’d already won Celebrity Big Brother. But bosses changed their minds after seeing the success of Scarlett Moffatt and Vicki Pattinson.

Speaking of Scarlett, the ex-Gogglebox star has been signed up to be a host alongside Ant and Dec, who will both be appearing despite Ant’s well-publicised battles with addiction this year.

Scarlett told the Sun: “I’m so excited to be back with Ant and Dec. I was texting Dec yesterday about it. I’ve been packed for three weeks. It’s not long now. The intention is [that Ant will be there]. We’ve spoken yeah. He’s doing well.”

The programme, which is in its incredible 15th year, will last for around three weeks with one contestant crowned King or Queen of the jungle at the end.

Past champions include Kerry Katona, Scarlett Moffatt and Dougie Poynter.

There are still nine celebrities left to be officially unveiled, with rumours flying around like wildfire. Some suggested names include Vanessa White’s Saturdays bandmate Frankie Bridge, former England manager Sam Allardyce and “The GC” herself, Gemma Collins – who has already appeared in the series.

Perhaps some of the ones who are still deciding are waiting to see a more up-to-date weather forecast before committing – we expect half of them only go for the holiday to Australia anyway!
