The Chase’s Jenny Ryan kicked out of train carriage for EastEnders’ Dean Gaffney

He apologised and even sent her a cupcake!

The Chase star Jenny Ryan has revealed she was denied her seat on a train because of EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney.

The quiz expert took to Twitter on Thursday to discuss the situation as she told fans she wasn’t allowed to take her reserved chair because Dean had taken up the whole carriage for filming.

But Jenny, who is known for playing The Vixen on the game show, revealed Dean apologised to her over the incident and gave her a cupcake!

She first tweeted: “I have just been evicted from my booked train seat in favour of Dean Gaffney. Oh, the indignity.”

One fan replied: “You should have demanded a quiz-off to decide who got the seat.”

Jenny responded: “He’s got the whole bloomin’ carriage (filming something)!”

After fans criticised Dean over the situation, Jenny revealed that the actor had actually apologised.

She wrote: “Sometimes a Twitter whine works – Dean has sent his apologies and a cupcake. Ta, Dean!”

However, another fan tweeted Jenny: “I’m sorry but if you had booked it I wouldn’t have moved!! Your money is just as good as his. I’m sorry but I would not have moved.”

But Jenny replied: “Ah, it’s all okay – they needed the carriage to film something, and I’m in a nice comfy seat just two carriages down now.

“They were very apologetic and I now have a yummy cake!”

It comes after Jenny suffered a record defeat at the hands of a contestant on The Chase last week.

Contestant Judith walked away with a record-breaking £70,000 after pushing The Vixen back several steps during their game.

Jenny graciously took to Twitter to praise her successful opponent, saying: “I’ve been awaiting the broadcast of this episode… Judith is such a memorable contestant!”

She went on to compliment what she described as “perfect play” that lead to Judith walking away with the prize.

But some people took aim at the defeated chaser, with some suggesting the loss should mean the end of The Vixen’s time on the show.

It wasn’t long before Jenny hit back at the criticism, claiming that if the chasers never lost, there would be no point in the show.

“It would be a very boring show if us Chasers won every time! We actually love it when great quizzers get on the show, we love a challenge!” she tweeted.
