Bradley Walsh is host of one of ITV’s most popular afternoon quiz shows, as well as an actor in the BBC’s huge TV hit Doctor Who.
But The Chase fans discovered there’s one thing he really isn’t quite as good at – accents.

In fact, if this were a quiz question, it would read a bit like this:

A: Awful B: Terrible C: An epic fail?
We think fans would respond with all three!

On Wednesday (13 February), Bradley welcomed four strangers onto the show, Richard, Matilda, Paul and Fiona.
And when Fiona stood up to face The Chaser, Bradley couldn’t help but comment on her strong accent.
The 38-year-old registrar from County Durham attempted to give Bradley lessons in the ‘Geordie’ accent – at his request – but fans were left cringing at home.
As Bradley mimicked “wae aye man” and attempted “to do the question as a Geordie”, fans took to Twitter to show their distaste.
One said: “Geordie’s throwing all their [bleep] at the telly right now.”
Another said: “That sounded more Jamaican then Geordie Brad #TheChase.”
A third added: “Never thought anything could be worse than Bear’s singing, but his Geordie accent come close #thechase.”
“Bradders gone all Hairy Biker! He sounded Cumbrian,” laughed another.

Others saw the funny side, with one saying: “Good ol’ Brad trying to sound Geordie, before you know it he’ll be replacing Dec! #TheChase.”
Some weren’t happy with Fiona even calling herself a Geordie, with one explaining that “she ain’t a Geordie, she’s from Durham”.
In fact, a Geordie refers to anyone from Tyneside in the north-east of England.
