The Chase viewers brand contestant “worst ever” in history of ITV show

Did you agree?

The Chase viewers were incredulous this week when a contestant became “the worst person ever” to take part in the ITV show.

On Thursday’s early evening episode (6 December), a town crier from Tenby stepped forward to compete against Chaser Jenny Ryan.

But fans soon branded Jim the “worst contestant of all time”.

Awww, we’re beginning to feel a tad sorry for poor Jim!

The pensioner appeared on yesterday’s instalment of the quiz show, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

But he soon put in an, erm, unforgettable performance as he managed to LOSE despite quite an advantage.

Dressed smartly in a purple shirt, dark waistcoat and ruby red bow-tie, Jim managed to get three points during his quick fire round…

But then it all went wrong, prompting fans to scream at their tellies!

Jim chose the lower cash offer of minus £1,000 – wait, why? – and then proceeded to be caught by Jenny despite having a huge advantage!

After he was sent home empty-handed, one fan tweeted: “Jim officially goes down as the worst contestant of all time on The Chase.”

Another stated: “Bow-tie wearing guy on The Chase may well be the worst contestant ever. Went for -1000, had a 5 answer buffer and still [bleeped] up.”

A third seethed: “This guy is the worst person I’ve ever seen on the #TheChase, dumb [bleep].”

“They need to replace Bradley with me because i swear i would let rip if they took the minus offer. It would make fantastic TV with my anger,” said another.

One even cheekily compared Jim to EastEnders favourite Frank Butcher for his bow-tie!

Fans were further furious with the poor gent for his final question, which he got wrong obviously!

Bradley asked: “What Johnny Depp film had the tagline: ‘His story will touch you, even though he can’t?'” with the options being either Donnie Brasco, Edward Scissorhands or Finding Neverland.

While the answer was, perhaps quite obviously, Edward Scissorhands, Jim chose Finding Neverland.
