It’s Over! Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston split after three months of dating

Couple fall out over actor's desire to be 'so public' about romance

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s romance is over after less than three months together.

Insiders told Us Weekly the couple’s romance fell apart as the 26-year-old pop star felt uncomfortable with the 35-year-old’s desire to be so public about their romance.

A source told the US magazine: “She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship.

“Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn’t listen to her concerns when she brought them up.

“Now that they’ve split, the source says, Hiddleston is “embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out.”

It is believed Tom had asked Taylor to the Emmy Awards later this month, but she began questioning whether he was with her for ‘the right reasons’ and ultimately decided to call off the romance.

A source told DailyMail.com: “Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private.

“Tom’s need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable

“She tried to be OK with it in the beginning but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons.”

The source added: “Taylor is an independent young woman and doesn’t feel like she needs a boyfriend to make her complete.”

Tom and Taylor, while inseparable in the early days of their romance, have not been photographed together since late July.

While the Shake It Off hit-maker is in New York, the British actor has recently been reprising his role as Loki to film Thor: Ragnarok in Australia with Chris Hemsworth.

Swift began dating Tom just two weeks after breaking up with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris in June.

They first flirted at the 2016 Met Gala in May, then shocked the internet when they were spotted kissing on a beach in Rhode Island in June.

“They were all over each other — hugging and kissing — even though there were 20 people coming and going on the beach,” an eyewitness said at the time.

“They looked like any young couple madly in love without a care in the world.”

After meeting each other’s parents, the duo then jetted off to Rome and Australia, where Swift sought support from Hiddleston after getting attacked by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Back in July, the actor confirmed his relationship with Swift to The Hollywood Reporter, denying rumors that it was a publicity stunt. “Well, um, how best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking,” Hiddleston told THR. “That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”
