She thought 'I want you mate' when she first saw him on Britain's Got Talent

Singer Susan Boyle has revealed she has a crush on Piers Morgan and ‘wanted’ him when she first clapped eyes on him.

Speaking to The Mirror, Susan said she fancied Piers when she met him face-to-face during her BGT audition 10 years ago.

She explained: “Now who wouldn’t like Piers Morgan? I took one look at him on Britain’s Got Talent and said, ‘I want you mate. I want you – come this way, Piersy Baby’.”

SuBo told the paper Piers is “a good laugh” and “very clever”, and when asked if she thought he was gorgeous, she added: “You took the words right out of my mouth!”

Good Morning Britain host Piers was on the BGT judging panel in April 2009, along with Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, when Susan took to the stage and stunned the nation with her powerful rendition of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables.

Ten years later and she’s promoting the release of her eighth studio album, the aptly named TEN, which will celebrate her decade-long career and offer fans four new tracks.

Susan has since sold more than 25 million albums and is now worth, according to Classic FM, an estimated £22 million.

Her new album, TEN, is set to hit the shelves on May 31st.

Aside from Susan’s upcoming appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, this year’s series is special in that it marked a grand return to TV for Ant McPartlin.

In 2018, he was arrested for drink driving, announced his divorce from ex-wife Lisa Armstrong and confirmed plans to take a break from presenting.

In emotional scenes during the BGT opener, one young contestant who had just performed Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now alongside her schoolfriends rushed to give Ant a hug, sobbing as she told him: “I’ve missed you.”
