Preparations for the National Television Awards are in full swing!
While we’d expect some stars to simply roll out to the show in whatever they happened to be wearing that day, others are doing a little more preparation.
Take Suranne Jones, for instance. The Doctor Foster star took to Instagram early this afternoon to document her process for getting ready.
And it mainly involved larking around in a bizarre glittery face mask!
The 39-year-old actress uploaded an image featuring herself and makeup artist Line Kolaasaeter wearing the unusual treatment.
She captioned the image: “@line_kolaasaeter and me loving the glitter mask @glamglowuk. @hel.sykes trying to concentrate on my outfit alteratons and hubby trying to tune out to our nonsense… #drfoster #nationaltvawards”.

The image of Suranne’s husband, magazine editor Laurence Akers, gazing at his phone while his wife gets ready will no doubt be familiar to many men across the country.
Suranne’s fans were loving the madcap snap, and left comments wishing her well.
One wrote: “Good God woman!” while another simply described her as “Mad”.
Doctor Foster is hotly tipped to win the coveted Drama category, although it faces stiff competition.
This comes in the form of Liar, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Taboo, Victoria and the Crown among others.

Suranne herself has been nominated for Drama Performance, alongside Poldark’s Aidan turner, Victoria’s Jenna Coleman and the fearsome duo of Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant for Broadchurch and others.
The NTAs kick off tonight at 7:30, and will be presented as they have been since 2010 by Dermot O’Leary.
Fingers crossed Suranne manages to get off every last trace of that face mask before she takes to the red carpet!
