He might be a joy for viewers to watch swishing around the ballroom, but spare a thought for Ore Oduba’s poor wife, Portia.
Apparently, the lithe TV presenter spends do much time rehearsing with dance partner Joanne Clifton that he is too tired to perform any, er, horizontal dancing at home with his gorgeous spouse.
The sports journalist says his long rehearsal days have left him completely wiped out and lethargic and too weary for fun!
“Everything is fatigued, the body is working a little less efficiently than it was at the start of this journey, tiredness is kicking in.” he told the Sun.
“I’ve not felt this tired and been so happy at the same time.
“Every day I wake up and it’s harder to get out of bed.
“It’s really taking its toll on the body. A couple of times in the last week I’ve found myself in bed and my body is telling me to stay horizontal for as long as possible.”
Ore and Portia met at Loughborough University almost six years ago and got hitched last year in Penshurst Place in Kent.
And Ore has revealed that he was just as emotional on his big day as he is when he’s on Strictly.
“On my wedding day I cried from 11 in the morning until 2am that night.
“There’s a picture of me wailing, my best men there laughing and Portia absolutely cracking up next to me – I am the only one crying.”
