Strictly star Jamie Laing’s girlfriend denies they’ve ‘split’

He'll begin filming for Strictly very soon

Strictly Come Dancing star Jamie Laing’s girlfriend Sophie Habboo has denied they’ve split.

It was reported that they had gone their separate ways just 24 hours after insisting he wouldn’t fall for the show’s ‘curse’.

It was said that Jamie, who is set to appear on the popular BBC One entertainment show when it kicks off next month, apparently broke up with his Made In Chelsea co-star Sophie.

The Mail On Sunday claimed she did the dumping, amid fears he may not stay faithful.

However, a rep for Sophie told Entertainment Daily: “They are very much together.”

Entertainment Daily has contacted Jamie’s reps for comment.

Last week, 30-year-old Jamie revealed himself as a Strictly Come Dancing contestant during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women.

But ironically, only yesterday, he insisted he won’t fall for the ‘Strictly curse’, which has seen numerous stars break up with their partners following stints on the show.

Speaking to The Mirror after the announcement was made, Jamie said: “The Strictly curse is where you dance with your dance partner, get really close to them…

“I think that’s what happened to Seann Walsh.

“So many people have got with their Strictly dancers. I will still be seeing Habboo, I’m not going to start kissing my dancer.”
