Strictly’s Debbie McGee gets the giggles on live TV after making rude joke

Debbie's saucy side was on full display

Debbie McGee has certainly bought plenty of controversy to this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

First, she accidentally revealed the elimination of Rev Richard Coles early on in the series, then viewers accused her of getting over marked by the judges – only for her to stand her ground against criticism on social media.

And Debbie’s fiery spark was on full display again this week when she made a naughty joke about Craig Revel Horwood on live TV.

Debbie and her professional dance partner, Giovanni, visited the It Takes Two studios yesterday to talk about her perfect score of 40 for her tango last weekend.

Despite being a usually harsh critic, judge Craig thought Debbie and Giovanni’s performance was so good that he got up from his seat and bowed before the couple.

Giovanni was the first to share his thoughts on the amazing TV moment… “I thought he was going to show us posture and then he just went on his knees.

“Nothing happened. He just went down on his knees,” Giovanni recalled.

But saucy Debbie then added, “You see, I’m used to seeing men on their knees, Giovanni isn’t!”

It took a while for the rude innuendo to dawn on a seemingly innocent Debbie – before she realised what she’d said and collapsed into a fit of giggles.

It Takes Two presenter, Zoe Ball, also found the gaffe hilarious, as well as Giovanni and everyone else in the studio, too.

“Debbie McGee, you say the funniest things,” Zoe laughed.

Viewers took to Twitter to voice their reaction to the matter… and they clearly thought it was hilarious. One fan even jokingly dubbed her the new “filth queen” after her funny innuendo.

After a few weeks of sightly harsh criticism from viewers, it seems Debbie’s cheeky side might have finally won her fans over.
